·         Set up the project for Tube & Pipe exercises

 

·         Close all files

·         Click File > Projects

·         Browse to AirSystemAssy.ipj

·         Add to list

·         It is active

·         Or double-click in list

 

·         Or

·         Expand Folder Options

·         Right-click Content Center Files

·         Select Edit

·         Enter CC

·         Click Save

·         AirSystemAssy project should be active

·         Click Done

 

·         Defining the Master Runs Assembly

·         Opening assembly for the first time

·         Ready to add runs

·         First run is Master Run

·         First run includes another individual run

·         All pipe runs start at master run

·         Each run can have one or more routes

·         All routes can use same style or different styles

·         Single run

·         Can have all three route types

·         Each with different diameters

·         Routes can start and end on assembly model geometry

·         Or drop initial fitting on route to create branch or fork (page 11)

 

·         Create Master Runs Assemblies

 

1.        File > Open

2.        OpenAirSystemAssy.iam assembly

3.        Click Create Pipe Run tool on Assembly Panel

4.        On Create Tube & Pipe Run dialog box

·         Name

·         AirSystem1

·         Accept other defaults

·         See default path in the project workspace (page 12)

 

5.        Click OK

·         Individual Run automatically added, activated, and ready for routes and components

 

6.        Tube & Pipe panel bar

·         New Route tool is available

 

7.        Standard toolbar

·         New Route tool

·         Display/Update Settings tool

 

8.        Click Help > Contents

 

9.        Click User's Guides > Tube and Pipe

·         Examine topics

 

10.     Close Help window (page 13)
