c:0 Set layer 0

            Sets layer 0 current.

 

c:== Keep layer lay only, others off.

            Keeps layer in variable lay on, others off. No pick required.

 

c:= Keep layer lay only, others off, pick.

            Pick an entity to keep only its layer on.

 

c:- Turn Layer Off, Pick.

            Used to turn a layer off by picking an entity on that layer. This command sets layer variable ‘lay’ to the layer picked.

 

c:-- Turn Layer ‘lay’ Off.

            Turns off layer name in variable ‘lay’.

 

c:== Keep Only Layer ‘lay’ On.

            Keeps only layer in variable ‘lay’ on, the rest off. No pick required.

 

c:[ Explode One.

            This command selects and explodes the entity selected.

 

c:[[ Explode Last.

            Explodes last entity on your screen, not last entity in drawing.

 

c:\ Line, Ortho Off.

            Starts drawing lines with ortho off.

 

c:] Line, Ortho On.

            Starts drawing lines with ortho on.

 

c:1 Reset Highlight, Cmdecho, Osnap, and Snapangle. Prompt Variables.

If variable ‘d’ value in prompt is inaccurate check and set precision to desired value with the command pc.

 

c:2 Set Layer Variable ‘lay’.

            Used to type in a layer name to the variable ‘lay’ used in subsequent commands.

 

c:3 Change Layer to Layer ‘lay’.

            Used to change entities’ layer to the layer name stored in the variable ‘lay’.

 

c:3e Clipboard, Restore Entities From Memory.

            Restore the command e3’s saved entities with this command. Subsequent enters will make entities flash on and off.

 

c:3s Creates Ucs’s Named Front, Left, Top, And View Named ‘i’.

            This command creates ucs’s named front, left, top, and view named ‘i’. To get back to the previous view use the command pu Plan, Enter, Enter (The plan view for the current UCS, which is the World Coordinate System or WCS).

 

c:4 Delete Last But One.

            Use this command to delete the last but one entity in drawing, not last but one entity on screen.

 

c:5 Erase Crossing.

            Erases entities with repeating crossing window selections.

 

c:5t Extend Crossing.

            Makes the entire drawing ready for trimming. Start this command and you can start extending entities by selecting near their end points. Use Escape key to end the command.

 

c:7 Turns all layers on.

            Use this command to turn all layers on.

 

c:8 Set A Layer Current By Picking An Entity On That Layer.

            Pick an entity to set its layer current.

 

c:9 Turns All Layers Off.

            This command turns all layers off, except the current layer.

 

c:aby Add To ‘d’, Enter Number.

            At the prompt, enter a number to add to ‘d’, for example, you may enter 0.0625 or 1/16. The prompt that follows is the new value of ‘d’. Ofcourse, using enter repeatedly will keep adding 1/16 to ‘d’. You can draw a line the length ‘d’ with the command hv Horizontal At Viewcenter.

 

c:add Adding Lines On The Screen.

            Select the lines whose distances you need to add. The number displayed is total length of selected lines in inches. Polylines and other objects are ignored. The precision is set to 2 but may be changed with the command pc.

 

c:ah Architectural Units.

            Set units to architectural units with this command.

 

c:bb Block, Uses ‘bname’.

           The default ‘bname’ appears in the prompt and you may create a block with this name or change the name of the block.

 

c:bny Wblock ‘bname’, Overwrite.

            This command will create a drawing using the block name in the variable ‘bname’. It will overwrite the existing drawing on your hard drive. The location of the drawing is the directory that you start Autocad in. This is the directory you are in when you use Autocad’s shell command c:SH, followed by two enters.

 

c:bw Break Text At Word Number.

          See tutorials.

 

c:c Copy.

            The copy command is used to copy entities to other locations in the drawing. Select entities to be copied. Next, pick a from point and a to point to copy your selection.

 

c:cc Copy Last From Insert.

            Selects and copies the last entity in the drawing, not last entity on the screen. Good to copy last entity in the drawing to a zoomed location on the screen you may be in.

 

c:ccn Centerline between two parallel lines.

            Draws a centerline between two parallel lines. At the prompt select the two lines to draw a centerline between them.

 

c:cd Circle Diameter ‘d’.

            Use this command to draw a circle of diameter ‘d’. Pick a point to draw the circle.

 

c:cdd Circle On Line As Diameter.

c:cf Copyclip, One Crossing Window.

            Copy entities to the Window’s clipboard with this command. The command ends after the first crossing window selection.

 

c:cff Copyclip.

            Copy entities to the Window’s clipboard with this command.       

 

c:cr Circle.

            Use this command to start drawing a circle.

 

c:csf Pick ‘sf’ From Two Circles.

            Pick a near point on a circle or arc, and another near point on another circle or arc. This will set the scale factor variable ‘sf’. The value of ‘sf’ is the radius of the first circle or arc selected divided by the radius of the second circle or arc selected.

 

c:da Distance And Angle Of Line.

            The distance and angle of selected line are displayed at the command prompt. To use the command pick a near point on a line. The line could be part of a polyline or a block. The angle is the angle from point picked to nearest end of the line. The distance is length of line. The highlight with color along length of line, (color number in variable ‘col’ indicates length of line being assessed. The distance ‘d’ and angle ‘a’ are saved in variables for use later.

 

c:dby Divide d, Enter Number.

            At the prompt enter a number used to divide ‘d’. The new value of ‘d’ is displalyed at the command promt.

 

c:de Angle, set angle variable ‘a’ degrees.

            At the prompt enter a new value for angle variable ‘a’.

 

c:dec Decimal Units.

            Set units to decimal units with this command.

 

c:dg Line, Distance ‘d’, Angle ‘a’.

            Draws a line that is at an angle ‘a’ and distance ‘d’ long. Pick a point to draw the line.

 

c:dh Dimension Horizontal.

            Draws a horizontal dimension using the two points that you pick. The osnaps set are: quad, end, and intersection. To add to or delete any of these osnaps just edit the code! See item 3 in Notes.

 

c:dm Dimscale.

            This is Autocad’s dimscale command. At the prompt enter a new value for dimscale.

 

c:ds Set Drawing Scale.

            At the prompt enter the drawing scale for drawing e.g.: 1/32, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 3/2, 3, 6, or even 12 (for a 1 = 1 or full scale drawing). Prompts at end of command are current scale factor or dimscale, and the text height in inches. The text height plots 1/8” on a plot to scale.

 

c:dts Detail To Scale in any drawing

1.      Make sure that the dimscale of the current drawing is accurate. For a drawing scale of ½” = 1’-0” the dimscale should be 24. To set the dimscale correctly you can use the command ds.

2.      Create a block of the detail to be inserted.

3.      Use the command 2 to set the variable ‘bname’ to the name of the detail drawing.

4.      Start the command dts.

5.      At the prompt enter the detail’s scale, for example: 1/32, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 3/2, 3, 6, or even 12 (for a 1 = 1 or full scale drawing).

6.      Pick any point in the drawing to insert the detail accurately. The prompt at the end of the command tells you how much the detail was scaled when it was inserted.

 

c:dvv Dimension Vertical.

            Draws a vertical dimension using the two points that you pick. The osnaps set are: quad, end, and intersection. To add to or delete any of these osnaps just edit the code! See item 3 in Notes.

 

c:e3 Clipboard, Send Entities To Memory.

            Select entities to save in memory (ram). Restore these entities from memory with the command 3e. Caution: Do not exit drawing without restoring entities with the command 3e. Entities in ram will be lost.

 

c:e4 Clipboard, Send Entities To Memory.

            Select entities to save in memory (ram). Restore these entities from memory with the command 4e. Caution: Do not exit drawing without restoring entities with the command 4e. Entities in ram will be lost.

 

c:e5 Select and align one entity with another.

c:ea Edit Text Or Attribute Without A Dialog Box.

            See tutorials.

 

c:ec Erase Crossing.

            Unlike c:5 which keeps erasing entities repeatedly with crossing windows, this command erases entities with one crossing window selection, following which the command ends.

 

c:ee Line, End To End.

            Draw a line from an end point to another end point with this command.

 

c:eq Draws Lines Equal In Length To First One (For Non-Horizontal Lines).

c:er Erase Last.

            This command erases the last entity on the screen.

 

c:ew Erase all.

            Erases all entities in the drawing.

 

c:fa Copy And Paste Text Or Attribute To Text Or Attribute.

            At first prompt pick an attribute or text in a block or text. At second prompt, again pick an attribute in a block or text, to copy first pick’s contents. Note: When destination is an attribute or text in a block the result is immediately seen on screen. However, when destination is text you may have to regen to see the change occur.

 

c:fc Pasteblock, Stores Insert Name In ‘bname’.

            Will paste entities copied using the command cf Copyclip. Will also store Autocad’s name in variable ‘bname’.

 

c:r5 Align Text To Leader Line, Left Side.

            See tutorials.

 

c:r6 Align Text To Leader Line, Right Side.

            See tutorials.

 

c:reb (Rename Block) you can rename Autocad’s block name with a friendlier one. Also, with the command ii (Insert Block) you may insert the block again without having to type in the block name.

 

c:fd Finding dimensions of like dimstyles.

            At the prompt pick on a dimension. Dimensions of the dimstyle of the one you picked are changed to layer 1. One undo, back will return you to the beginning of this command.   

 

c:fs File Save.

            This command will save your drawing. At the prompt you may enter a different name to save to. This is not the Save As command.

 

c:g1 Select And Move From “Second” Insert Point.

            Uses selected entity’s “second” insert point to move it. See item 1 in Notes.

 

c:ggr Two-key command initiator.

            This starts the two-key command which defines each key on the keyboard to a unique script file that you create or overwrite. Following this command with any letter key or number key will execute the script file assigned to it. This script file may contain any command or commands that you create with the command w1 or the command w2.

            Script file names are predefined as follows: for letter or number keys use the number 0 followed by the letter or number on the keyboard. For the letter ‘a’ the script file name is 0a.scr; for the number ‘1’ the script file name is 01.scr, and so on.

            Assigning the command ggr to run with a single key press is described in this example.

 

c:gi Select And Move From “First” Insert Point.

            Uses selected entity’s “first” insert point to move it. See item 1 in Notes.

 

c:gm Select And Move From Mid.

           Osnap mid is turned on at start of this command. Pick apoint on an entity to be selected and moved from it’s mid point. Next, pick a point for location to move to.

 

c:gn Current Drawing Name And Path.

            Prompts the drawing name and path at the command prompt.

 

c:hc Half Circle On Line.

            See tutorials.

 

c:hj Offset last Line To Right, Distance ‘d’.

            Offsets last line in drawing to the right side of the line on the screen. Use enter several times to create an array.

 

c:hk Rectangle Last Line To Right, Distance ‘d’.

            This command uses the last line in the drawing to make a rectangle to the right side of the line, the other distance for the rectangle is ‘d’.

 

c:ht Set Text Height.

            At the prompt type in a new text height to use for the drawing.

 

c:ht0 Sets Text Height To Zero.

            Use this command to set the text height to zero.

 

c:hv Horizontal Line At Viewcenter.

            Draws a horizontal line of length ‘d’ at the viewcenter.

 

c:hy Stretch Both Dirn To Snapang

c:ii Insert ‘bname’.

            Insert the block named ‘bname’ with this command or you may change the block’s name before inserting it.

 

c:j Move Last, Ortho On.

            Moves the last entity on the screen with ortho on.

 

c:jh Offset Last Line To Left, Distance ‘d’.

            Offsets last line in drawing to the left side of the line on the screen. Use enter several times to create an array.

           

c:jl Join Last Line To Adjacent Lines.

            Joins the last entity in the drawing to lines or arcs touching it end to end.

 

c:jp Join, Pick Line To Join.

            Pick a line that has other lines touching it, end to end. This should create a polyline.

 

c:jt Join Text.

            See tutorials.

 

c:k Make Last.

            This command copies the selected entity upon itself and deletes the selected entity. Now, ofcourse, the new entity is the last entity in the drawing.

 

c:kh Rectangle Last Line To Left, Distance ‘d’.

            Will use the last line in the drawing to make a rectangle, the other distance for the rectangle is ‘d’.

 

c:kla Keep Layers

            Select objects to keep only their layers on. All other layers are turned off. Note: This command creates a file named “kla” in the default directory which is read by the command rla to restore layers that were kept on with the command kla.

 

c:lc Text, Lower Case

            Changes all text selected to lower case.

 

c:ltf Set Linetype Factor.

            Variable ‘ltf’ is set to 0.375 when the code is loaded. The default prompt shows it in current units. To view in decimal units use d:dec first. Follow this command with the command ltt to set linetype = dimscale ‘ds’ x ‘ltf’.

 

c:ltt Set Linetype Scale.

            Sets the linetype scale for the drawing. The value of linetype scale is the variable for dimscale ‘ds’ times the variable for linetype factor ‘ltf’.

 

c:mby Multiply ‘d’, Enter Number. See also: aby, sby, and dby.

            At the prompt enter a number to multiply ‘d’. The new value of ‘d’ is displalyed at the command promt.

 

c:mii Mirror Across Line, do not delete old objects.

            See tutorials.

 

c:mmi Mirror Across Line, delete old objects.

            At the first prompt pick a near point on a line to use as the mirror line. Next, select objects to mirror.

 

c:mla Make layers named 1 through 9.

            Creates layers with the names 1 through 9.

 

c:mla1 Make Layers Center, Dim, Hatch, Hidden, Text, Steel.

            Create the above layers with this command. Linetypes for layers center and hidden are “Center” and “Hidden” respectively.

 

c:mll Make a new layer.

            Use this command to make a new layer, or to change the color of an existing layer.

 

c:mr Move Last Rectangle From Its “Center” Point.

            Selects and has the last rectangle in the drawing ready for moving from the “center” of the rectangle to a point that you pick.

 

c:mrr Move Rectangle From Its “Center” Point.

            1. Pick a rectangle in the drawing to move it from its “center” point.

            2. Pick a point to move to.

 

c:n Move Last, Ortho Off.

            Selects and has the last entity on the screen ready for moving with from and to points that you pick.

 

c:ng Negative ‘d’.

            Changes the value of ‘d’ to a negative value and back when followed by another enter.

 

c:nga Negative ‘a’.

            Changes the value of ‘a’ to a negative value and back when followed by another enter. Good when you need to flip the snap angle. Use ssa to set the crosshairs to the new snap angle.

 

c:nm Set ‘bname’, Type Block Name.

            Set a new block name to variable ‘bname’ with this command.

 

c:nn Move Last From It’s Insert Point.

            Selects and moves the last entity in the drawing, not last entity on the screen. Good to see where last editing in drawing occurred, or to move last entity in the drawing to a zoomed location on the screen you may be in.

 

c:pc Set Precision.

            Change the units’ precision with this command. This affects the number of digits displayed after the decimal point when prompting a number at the command prompt or printing it to the screen. This difference is seen when you use c:1 to display values of ‘d’, ‘a’, and others on the screen with different values of precision. The value of the number stored in a variable is not changed when you change the precision.

 

c:pi Pick Insert Name, Pick Insert.

            Select a block to read its name to the variable ‘bname’.

 

c:pt Pick Text Height.

            Sets new text height. Text style and other text parameters remain unchanged.

 

c:pu Plan, Enter, Enter.

            With this command you get to the plan view of the current ucs.

 

c:q1 Quit, No Save.

            Will quit the drawing without saving.

 

c:qw Leader.

            See tutorials.

 

c:r4 Reverse Last Line.

            Reverses the direction of the last line.

 

c:rf Read File.

            You can print a text file to the screen with this command.

            1. Enter the file name, including the path.

            2. Pick a point on the screen to import and print the file.

            In item 1 above for file name use two backslashes instead of one or one forward slash. Do not use single backslashes. A single backslash has a diffent meaning in Autolisp.

 

c:rg Rectangle, Enter Two Distances.

            1. Enter the horizontal distance for sizing the rectangle.

            2. Enter the vertical distance.

            3. Pick a point to draw the rectangle.    

            Negative values are allowed. It just changes direction of rectangle you draw.

 

c:rla Restore Layers

            This commands restores the drawing with layers kept on  with the command kla. Note: The command rla will work in any other drawing to restore layers kept on with the command kla.

 

c:rm Textstyle, Romans.

            Use this command to change the current text style to Romans.

 

c:rmd Textstyle, Romand.

            Use this command to change the current text style to Romand.

 

c:rr Rotate Last -90 Degrees From “First” Insert Point.

            Selects and rotates the last entity on your screen by -90 degrees. The point of rotation is the “first” insert point. See item 1 in Notes above.

 

c:rra Rotate Last Entity From its Insert Point, 'a' Degrees.

            This command selects the last entity and rotates it from its insert point by ‘a’ degrees. If the entity is a line, it gets rotated from its start point.

 

c:rrr Rotate Last -90 (Mid Justified Text) From “Second” Insert Point.

            Selects and rotates the last entity on your screen by -90 degrees. The point of rotation is the “second” insert point. See item 1 in Notes above.

 

c:rw Ucs World.

            Restore the world coordinate system with this command.

 

c:sby Subtract From ‘d’, Enter Number.

            At the prompt enter a number to subtract from ‘d’. The new value of ‘d’ is displalyed at the command promt.

 

c:scf Scale To Scale Factor ‘sf’.

            1. Select entities to be scaled to scale factor ‘sf’.

            2. Pick a point to scale from.

 

c:sd Set Distance Variable ‘d’, Inches.

            Use this command to set a distance ‘d’ in inches. At the prompt enter a value as a fraction, for example, 1/16 or in decimals.

            You may also select two points on the screen to set the distance ‘d’.

 

c:sdd Set Distance ‘d’ In Feet-Inches-Sixteenths.

            Use this command to set a distance ‘d’ in architectural units.

            1. Enter the number of feet.

            2. Enter the number of inches.

            3. Entet the number of sixteenths of an inch.

            You may enter zero for any of the above.

 

c:sf Pick ‘sf’ From Two Lines. See: Scale to Scale Factor – scf.

            Selecting two lines in your drawing sets scale factor variabe ‘sf’. The value of ‘sf’ is the length of the first line selected divided by the length of the second line selected. See also: Scale factor from two circles, two inserts, or two text entities.

 

c:sfi Scale factor from two inserts.

            Select two inserts to get their scale factor. This sets scale factor variable ‘sf’ .

 

c:sft Pick ‘sf’ From Two Lines Of Text.

            Selecting two lines of text sets the scale factor variable ‘sf’. The value of ‘sf’ is the height of the first text selected divided by the height of the second text selected.

 

c:sr Stretch

            This is Autocad’s Stretch command.

 

c:srr Stretch Opposite Directions To Snapangle.

            1. Set snapangle with xh or with ssa.

            2. Make a crossing window to first stretch one or more entities in the positive x direction.

            3. Make another crossing window selection to stretch in opposite direction.

 

c:ss Scale One Object To ‘sf’ From Insert.

            Pick any one entity on screen to scale it from its insert point. The scale factor used is the scale factor stored in variable ‘sf’.

 

c:ssf Set Scale Factor Variable ‘sf’.

            Enter a new scale factor ‘sf’ at the prompt.

 

c:sw Switch Last Two Entities.

            This command will switch last two entities in the drawing database. The last entity in drawing is now the last but one entity in the drawing.

 

c:sx Set x Distance Between Two Points.

            Sets the x distance ‘d’ when you select any two points in your drawing.

 

c:sy Set y Distance Between Two Points.

            Sets the y distance ‘d’ when you select any two points in your drawing.

 

c:sz Set z Distance Between Two Points.

            Sets the z distance ‘d’ when you select any two points in your 3D drawing.

 

c:t5 Trim Crossing.

            Makes the entire drawing ready for trimming. After starting the command you can start trimming entities by picking them. Use Escape key to end the command.

 

c:ta Type Text To New Text Parameters, Left Justified.

            Select text entities to change to current text parameters. Entities other than text will be ignored. The resulting text is left justified.

            Select entities to change to current layer with repeating crossing window selections. Use cancel to end the command.

 

c:tcc Change last to current layer.

            Changes last entity to current layer.

            We have changed Autocad’s c:ta for Tablet command.

 

c:tl Change One To Layer ‘lay’.

            Changes entities’ layers one at a time. The change occurs as you select entities one at a time. Use cancel to end the command.

 

c:tll Copy One To Layer ‘lay’.

            Copies an entity and changes it to layer name stored in ‘lay’.

 

c:tm Type Text To New Text Parameters, Mid Justified.

            Select text entities to change to current text parameters. Entities other than text will be ignored. The resulting text is mid justified.

 

c:tp Text Parameters, Pick Text.

            Set new text parameters by selecting a line of text on the screen. The next time you use the dtext command, the text will have the same text style, width factor, and other parameters as those you set using this command.

 

c:tss  Text of Size, Show

            Pick a text entity at the prompt. All text with the same height is changed to layer 1 with color 1. One ub will undo the changes.

 

c:ttc Text, Title Case

            Select text entities to change to title case. All selected text is changed to title case.

 

c:ttl Copy and Change to Layer.

            Copies entities and changes new entities to layer name in the variable ‘lay’.

 

c:tx Stretch ‘d’ in x Direction.

            Will stretch entities selected in a crossing window in the x direction to a distance ‘d’. The command waits for additional crossing window selections to stretch the same distance and direction. Use Escape key to cancel the command.

 

c:ty Stretch ‘d’ in y Direction.

            Will stretch entities selected in a crossing window in the y direction to a distance ‘d’. The command waits for additional crossing window selections to stretch the same distance and direction. Use Escape key to cancel the command.

 

c:tya Type Distance ‘d’, Architectural Units.

            Types distance value stored in variable ‘d’ in architectural units at viewcenter on screen.

 

c:tyd Type Distance ‘d’, Decimal Units.

            Types distance value stored in variable ‘d’ in decimal units at viewcenter on screen.

 

c:tz Stretch ‘d’ in z Direction.

            Will stretch entities selected in a crossing window in the z direction to a distance ‘d’. The command waits for additional crossing window selections to stretch the same distance and direction. Use Escape key to cancel the command.

 

c:u3 Ucs With Three Points, End, Near, Near.

            This is Autocad’s ucs command using the three point option.

            1. Select the origin or your new ucs.

            2. Select the x direction of the new ucs by picking a near point on any line.

            3. Select the y direction of the new ucs by picking a near point on any other line.

 

c:u7 Ucs With Two Points, First Pick Snaps To End For Origin.

            You can create a new ucs by picking two points only.

            1. Select a near point on a line in your 3D drawing. At this point this command snaps to the nearest end point on the line you selected and uses it as the origin for the new ucs. The near point you selected becomes the x direction for the new ucs.

            2. Select a near point on another line to use as the y direction for your new ucs.

 

c:ub Undo Back.

            Will undo drawing to last undo, mark. Use this command with caution! This command will undo the drawing to the beginning of your session if no undo, mark has been set. Using two enters by accident could result in losing unsaved work. The best thing is to save drawing just before using this command everytime you use this command. This way you can close the drawing and open it with all your editing intact.

 

c:uc Upper Case For Text.

            Will convert selected text to upper case.

 

c:uf Ucs Front.

            Will restore the ucs named “front”.

 

c:ul Ucs Left.

            Will restore the ucs named “left”.

 

c:upp Text Up.

c:ut Ucs Top.

            Will restore the ucs named “top”.

 

c:uw Ucs World.

            Restore the world coordinate system with this command.

 

c:vd View Direction.

            Used to select a view point to view the drawing from. At the first prompt enter the angle in the xy plane to view from. At the second prompt enter the angle between the xy plane to the z axis.

 

c:vr Restore View, Enter Name.

            Use this command to restore a saved view.

 

c:vs Save View, Enter Name.

            You can save the current view with this command, just enter a view name at the prompt and enter. To restore this view later use c:vr.

 

c:vt Move Last Two Entities In The Drawing.

            Will select the last two entities in the drawing and be ready for moving. Pick a point to move from and next, pick a point to move to.

 

c:xd Copy Last, Distance ‘d’, X Direction.

            Copies last entity in the drawing once, distance ‘d’ in the x direction.

 

c:w1 Write one line of text to a script file.

            Used to create script files for use with the command ggr or to when you enable accelerator keys with new commands as you work. At the first prompt enter the name of the script file only without the .scr extension. At the next prompt, enter the text to execute when you run the script file.

 

c:w2 Write two or more lines to a script file.

            Will create a script file with the number of lines you specify. At the prompt enter the script file name only, that is , without the .scr extension. Now, enter the number of lines you wish to enter as a number. Next, enter lines of text to include in the script file.

 

c:wbc Wblock ‘bname’ In Current Drawing Directory.

            This command will create a new drawing using the block name in the variable ‘bname’. The location of the drawing is the directory of your current drawing.

 

c:wbcy Wblock ‘bname’ In Current Drawing Directory, Overwrite.

            This command will overwrite an existing drawing with the name stored in variable ‘bname’. The location of the drawing is the directory of your current drawing.

 

c:wbn Wblock ‘bname’.

            This command will create a new drawing using the block name in the variable ‘bname’. The location of the drawing is the directory that you start Autocad in. This is the directory you are in when you use Autocad’s shell command c:SH, followed by two enters.

 

c:wbny Wblock ‘bname’, Overwrite. Also c:bny.

            This command will overwrite an existing drawing with the name stored in variable ‘bname’. The location of the drawing is the directory that you start Autocad in. This is the directory you are in when you use Autocad’s shell command c:SH, followed by two enters.

 

c:xh Set Crosshairs.

            Select a near point on a line. This should set your crosshairs to the direction defined by the point you picked and the nearest end of line, the x direction now.

 

c:xt Export Text.

            Select entities to export to a text file. In the prompt for file name use two backslashes instead of one or one forward slash. This command leaves the text you selected mid justified. Use c:ub once after export to restore text to original justifications.

 

c:y6 Align Text With First Line of Text.

c:y7 Dimension, Pick Line.

            Pick a line to dimension. Which side the dimension is controlled by the point you pick.  It depends on which half of the line you pick. Pick a point closer to the other end of the line. Now, the new dimension should be on the other side.

 

c:y77 Dimension, Last Line.

            The last line in the drawing will be dimensioned. The dimension is a rotated dimension. The rotation is ofcourse, the angle of the line.

 

c:yd Copy Last, Distance ‘d’, y Direction.

            Copies last entity in the drawing once, distance ‘d’ in the y direction.

           

c:z2 Zoom, 0.2x.

            Zooms the screen 0.2 times.

 

c:z8 Zoom, 0.8x.

            Zooms the screen 0.8 times.

            Copies last entity in the drawing once, a distance ‘d’ away in the z direction.

            Zooms to drawing extents.

            Zooms the drawing to the previous view.

            Pick two points on the screen to zoom to.

 

c:zz Zoom extents, Zoom 0.8x.

            Zooms to the drawings extents and then zooms the screen 0.8 times.

 

c:66  Copy last, multiple.

            Copy the last entity to multiple locations.
