·         In a new part sketch environment opens

·         With front, top, right planes

·         Click plane to select

·         Draw sketch

·         Fully constrain it

·         Exit Sketch

·         Enter value for depth

·         Draw circle

·         Exit Sketch

·         Select From Sketch Plane or Offset from plane

·         Select Direction 1 as Through All or other

·         Click Green Check Mark

 

 

·         Hole with Hole Wizard

 

·         Note: We can draw centerlines to help in selecting locations for hole

 

·         Start Hole Wizard command

·         Fill in values for parameters type, size, head clearance

·         Select Positions tab

·         Place holes

 

 

·         Fillet Command

 

·         Start command

·         Fill in values for size

·         Select two faces

·         Click Green Check Mark

 

 

·         Creat a Circular Pattern

 

·         Create six tall cylinder extrusions with cuts and fillets evenly spaced about central axis of part using the Circular Pattern tool

·         Click View

·         Temporary Axes

 

·         Start Circular Pattern command

 

·         In the PropertyManager, under Parameters

·         Pattern Axis

·         Select part center temporary axis as central axis of pattern

·         Select Equal spacing around the axis within 360°

·         Set Number of Instances to 6

·         Click features to pattern

·         Click Green Check Mark

 

 

·         Create New Drawing from Part

 

·         Menu bar toolbar

·         New command

·         Click drop-down arrow

·         Select Make Drawing from Part/Assembly

 

 

·         Create Views in 2D Drawing

 

·         In View Palette (on right)

·         Drag top view into drawing

·         Click Green Check Mark

 

 

·         Create a Section View

 

·         Start Section View command (Drawing Toolbar)

·         Hover cursor over top view

·         Draw section line on highlighted section line with two points

·         Move pointer to right to place view

·         Draw detail circle on section view

·         Drag and pick to complete circle

·         Move pointer on drawing and click to place view

·         Click Next (arrow in circle at top right of panel)

·         Under Orientation

·         Click *Isometric

·         Add Center Marks

 

·         Start Center Mark command

·         Click outside edge of tall cylinder (still 30 minute lesson)

·         Click curved arrow icon to include all hole locations for center marks

·         Add Centerlines

 

·         Start Centerline command

·         Select two edges of hole in section view

·         Centerline appears

·         Repeat for other locations

·         Click Green Check Mark

 

 

·         Place Dimensions

 

·         Start Smart Dimension command

·         Click item to dimension

·         Move cursor away and click to place

 

·         Start Smart Dimension command

·         Click two outside edge lines in detail view

·         Click where dimension should appear

 

 

·         Modify Text of Dimensions

·         In PropertyManager under Dimension Text
