| 3d Setup Command | 3s |

| Add d to Length of 3dsolid | adz |
| 3d Rotate Till Interfere | rti |

The Rotate Till Interfere Commands rotates the last entity in the drawing a degrees till it touches or intereferes with another 3d solid (Autocad's 3dsolid entity).
1. Make sure that the 3d solid that will rotate is the last entity in the drawing.
2. Set variable a (degrees) to 4 degrees (in above example).
3. At the command prompt type rti and press enter.
If the 3d solid to rotate is not the last entity in the drawing the command will fail. Note that the rotation occurs about the origin (0,0,0), wherever you may set that to be.
The 3d solid rotates in steps of 4 degrees till it interferes with any other 3d solid in the drawing. At this point it creates the interference 3dsolid entity shown in red. In this example a (degrees) was set to a very high value of 4 degrees for demonstration only. This value could be as small as you need (example: a = 0.01 degrees) which would create a tiny interference 3d solid.
Now, one undo (u + enter) will undo the creation of the 3d interference solid as well as rotate the 3d solid just back to where it is barely not touching the cylinder.
Note: To undo the command to the beginning of the command use the command sequence: Type undo, press enter, type b (for back), and press enter.
